    A provocative, challenging, and savvy collection of puppet shorts created by the next generation of small-scale artists.

    Fresh from showings at the Cannes Marche' du Film 2006, the 30th Annual Atlanta Film Festival, and the RhodeIsland Film Festival, Heather Henson presents Handmade Puppet Dreams, a touring festival of independent artists' films exploring the art of handmade craft especially for cinema.

  • Puppet Art Attacks
    A puppetry slam of 3-5 minute "short works of genius" by a variety of puppet artists.

HOW TO GET TO THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY

TNC is located at 155 1st Avenue, between East 9th and East 10th Streets.

BY SUBWAY :  

F to 2nd Ave station. Walk uptown on 1st Avenue to TNC. 
6 to Astor Place & Lafayette Street - Walk 3 blocks East to 1st Avenue.
L to 1st Avenue and 14th Street. Walk downtown to TNC.
N, R to  8th Street and Broadway. Walk West to 1st Avenue.

BY BUS:

The closest Bus lines to THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY are the M15 and the M8. The Uptown M15 will stop at 1st Avenue between St. Marks Place and 9th Street, and the Downtown M15 will stop at 2nd Avenue and 9th Street.

HOW TO GET TICKET DISCOUNTS 

Tickets for each play are $15.00. In your program, you will receive a PASSPORT TO PUPPET THEATER. With one "visa" stamped in your passport, you will receive a discount of $2 on your next ticket to this festival.

You will also receive a complimentary Linux operating system for your computer, courtesy of The Linux Loft. Linux is immune to the viruses and spyware that are corrupting Microsoft Windows computers worldwide. These operating systems contain a full compliment of accompanying applications, including Firefox (web browser), Thunderbird (email client), Open Office (full office suite), Gimp (image/photo manipulation), NVU (web design), and access to free open source software for almost anything you can think of, from accounting to video production and multimedia.
